The origins of Opportunity Media Inc go back to the founding of Opportunity Television in 1986, making us the most experienced direct response representation company in the business. We have sold over $1.5 billion dollars in media for our clients.

Kevin has held senior sales and sales management positions at leading telecommunications companies, including MCI & AT&T, before joining Opportunity Television in 2001. While at AT&T, he led a sales and marketing organization that was responsible for all federal and state government entities in the United States. He served on the Editorial Advisory Board of Response Magazine and has been quoted in leading Performance Based Marketing publications regarding performance based media, strategy and forecasting. He has produced multiple shows for television and has developed unique branded content solutions for advertisers. Kevin formed Opportunity Media Inc. in 2005 to build on the success of Opportunity Television, a pioneer in direct response. Kevin holds a B.A. in Communications from Fordham University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. A frequent speaker at industry conferences, he is a founding member of the Performance Driven Marketing Institute (PDMI). He serves on the boards of Friends of Oheka, a non-for-profit whose mission is to raise public awareness of Oheka Castle through its educational program and college scholarships, LICADD, a nonprofit whose mission is to reduce the incidence and prevalence of the disease of alcoholism, other drug addiction and related problems and the Huntington Housing Authority whose mission is to ensure safe, decent and quality affordable housing opportunities exist for families with low income.
Dan worked in various roles on the accounting and finance side of business, including the Town of Huntington Tax Assessors Office and MSC Industrial Direct. For the Town of Huntington, Dan worked on analysis of the Low Income Senior Tax Plan and at MSC Industrial Direct he analyzed product gross margins and costing. Most recently he worked in the U.S. Federal Government Office of Inspector General Department of Education where he assisted special agents by using analytics to detect fraud with relation to government funds. He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Accounting from St. John’s University. Dan joined Opportunity Media in 2016.
Dawn, a native of the UK, spent the early part of her career working in Internal Audit and Management services for Nationwide Building society in the UK. After moving to the U.S. in 2000, she has worked in business and marketing roles for several companies. Dawn joined Opportunity Media in 2013 and coordinates our UK operations, continental European endeavors and branded entertainment projects.
Declan has spent more than 20 years in Direct Response Advertising. He began his career in 1994 as an Assistant Media Buyer at Media Direct Partners and was promoted to the position of Media Buyer. He joined Discovery in 1996 and quickly rose through the ranks from Sales Planner to Account Service Representative to Account Executive and Director. Declan became a Vice President and was responsible for overseeing a team, generating in excess of $400 million in revenue. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Limerick, Ireland. Declan joined Opportunity Media in 2019.
Kevin started his career at Turner Broadcasting, He then moved to AMC Networks where he led the effort in developing the sales formats for Bravo, Fuse, IFC and Sundance working extensively with leading brands on their campaigns. Most recently Kevin has worked on the international side with Irish TV, Crossings TV and the Seoul Broadcasting System. Kevin is a graduate of Adelphi University. Kevin joined Opportunity Media in 2018.
Giles began his career at BET Networks as a Sales Assistant. He then moved to Discovery Communications holding several positions in Direct Response Ad Sales such as Sales Assistant, Sales Planner and most recently Executive Sales Planner. He has worked on multiple networks within Discovery Communications as well as working with Direct Response clients in the VOD and TVE space. Giles is a graduate of The University of Portsmouth in the UK with a B.S. in Product Design and Innovation. Giles Joined Opportunity Media in 2017.
Lisa began her career at Lifetime Networks and managed commercial operations for the fast-growing Lifetime Movie Network. After 13 years at Lifetime, Lisa moved into the field of teaching. Lisa holds an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies from the Wood Tobe-Coburn School. Lisa joined Opportunity Media in 2014.
Anne began her career at Viacom Media Networks, where she worked various roles in network operations for over 25 years. At Viacom, she managed and supported all aspects of broadcast origination and integration of Viacom’s multimedia brands; MTV, Nickelodeon, BET, Comedy Central, CMT and many others. She holds and Associate’s Degree in Broadcasting Telecommunications from Suffolk Community College. Anne joined Opportunity Media in 2018.
Stefany began working in the retail industry and then quickly moved to the hospitality side, working in a hotel for 4 years where she was honored as the employee of the year in 2015. Stefany then went to work for A+E Networks for 3 years as a Sales Service Representative. Stefany holds an Associates degree in Liberal Arts and is now working on her Bachelor;s in Nutrition & Exercise Science. Stefany joined Opportunity Media in 2019.
Joan spent 28 years at Lifetime Television and managed commercial operations for Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network and Lifetime Real Women. Prior to Lifetime, Joan worked at ABC Network. She holds a B.A. from Brooklyn College-CUNY in Communications and Television Production. Joan joined Opportunity Media in 2015.
Deana began her career at Katz Communications. She has over 15 years of experience in direct response, participating in the tremendous growth boom both at Lifetime and in the DR business. Deana joined Opportunity Media in 2005.
Ryan will be entering his senior year at Quinnipiac University where he will be receiving his M.B.A. in addition to a Bachelors Degree in Finance. He is also the Treasurer of the Investment Club at Quinnipiac. Ryan is the Finance Intern for the summer of 2019.
Edmund Smyth provides legal counsel for Opportunity Media. He is a founding partner of the firm Smyth Nora LLP. Edmund received a Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 1997 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Widener University. He is admitted to practice law in New York State and is a member of the New York City Bar Association. He proudly serves as a Staff Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Edmund is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and New York State Trial Lawyers Association He also sits on the local zoning board and is the former president of the Huntington Lawyers’ Club.
Andrew brings to Opportunity Media the ability to make complex design projects both intuitive and compelling. Andrew designed his first website in 1995. An early blogger, he created his first blog in 2000. He worked on Tiffany & Co.’s first e-commerce site. In 2003, he designed the first e-commerce site for Barneys New York. His hands-on approach and personal attention to detail help guide clients to their own success.
